While I`m waiting for my mobo on my own computer, I started to play with the wife`s comp a little bit...

It has a FX 5600. The problem that I just can`t seem to remember how to set the thing up beautifully in Dual View mode. My goal is to allow the computer to run normal on the monitor, and let the videos go to the T.V. (DVDs, etc.)

I was once able to do this with an old GeForce4MX 440, just by "extending the monitor as the desktop" in the display properties. The video would play in both the monitor and T.V. -But now, I can`t seem to remember how. The Nview tab alows me to "clone" the screens, and it all works except for the video Overlay. Meaning, I can do everything EXCEPT watch videos. Kinda` funny if you ask me.

Dual-View is just kinda` an extension of the normal desktop. If I use the T.V. as the primary monitor, it works flawlessly with the videos, but then the monitor won`t do the video overlay... The great "Catch 22."

I have the latest drivers offered by Nvidia, and everything works fine with no problems. Just can`t remember the set of options to get it to do that stuff.

Any1 know?

Try setting it to standard dualview. You should be able to configure the TV seperately.

The BRAND new drivers from Nvidia solved the issue, there`s a much better Dual View tab in there this time around... Thanks for the help.

Funny though, cause` I remember Nvidia stating that the 50+ driver series would GREATLY increase performance around the board for DX9. After downloading them, I tried it out with 3Dmark2003...

It was all a load of crap. I averaged about 10fps on the 2nd game test (Proxicon), and about 4fps on the Nature one.

I`ll be sticking with my 9800 pro for a while in my comp once it gets back up and running

Again, thanx for the help.
