dial up problems

ok worked on a clients computer. they complained that it was laggy so i ran adaware and immediatly found a BUNCH of problems got adaware to take care of it. well it quit lagging so obviously there was some spyware running in the back ground lagging it down. well now this is going on they connect to the internet and it wont access the sites and stuff. but on the tool bar it shows that they are connected to the internet. so what should i try. i was thinking removing the modem and letting the system redetect it.

tapiini fix refreshes your dialup connection.

I.E. Repair will fix some Outlook Express problems.

Cheers!

Do you have a fix on the date this all started for her?

I'm thinking System Restore. If you can get her connection back using System Restore, Use an alternate spyware program such as Spy Bot S&D. It may have a different way of going about fixing the spyware found that will return with system restored.

Cheers!
