make outlook the default email?

I have a friend who has a Win98se comp..they used to have seperate logins...well, they decided they didnt need two logins anymore so they had another friend delete the accounts or something another..not sure really. I think they deleted one of the accounts.

Anyway, the way it was setup was that one account had email setup on outlook...the other account had email setup on outlook express.

The main computer user was setup on outlook....well now she says all of her mail is going to outlook express?? I havent actually talked to her yet, lol..just a message on my machine.

By deleted the logins did they delete her account altogether? I guess they deleted her account, which was silly cuz she uses it 98% of the time.

If they only have the one account as far as a windows login...they still can use two different email accounts cant they (of course they can, lol)

What is going to be the easiest way to get her outlook email going again?

Thanks, JP

I would remove her account from outlook express. Click tools -> accounts -> mail ->choose account and remove.

You should be able to add her account to outlook if it's not already there in pretty much the same way it's removed from outlook express.

Make a shortcut to outlook named "hers" and make a shortcut to outlook express named "his".

To change the default client, open internet explorer and click tools -> internet options -> programs and choose the one you want to be default

lol..cool, for some reason I have never messed the settings there on the "program" tab. I sometimes miss the obvious.

I'm not sure how the account would be switch from outlook to outlook express. It's possible that the guy that was working on it did that to make things a little more simple and at the same time made it more complicated for her.
