k7s5a pro Help Needed!!

I recently purchased a barbone system that came with this mother board.

SYSTEM SPECS:
athlon xp 2200+
128 ddr ram
64 ram video card
40 gig hard drive

the system hangs after detecting the hard drive and the cd rom drive. It will not let me enter cmos either. I tried clearing cmos but now it gives me an error: cmos settings wrong/cmos memory size wrong.

it gives me 2 options 1: press F1 to run setup
2: press F2 to load defalt values and continue.

Neither of these options do anything the pc just stays at this screen.

Open to any possible solutions.

Try another keyboard and possibly a different type. If you are using a ps2 keyboard, try using a USB model or vice versa

If it's under warranty , send it back for another MBD. Does it give a post check beep when it starts ??? Try different memory ???

These boards are picky about memory and power supplies. What are you using?

Try another cmos battery if you can...they're only a few bucks at wal-mart.

Not sure if this thread would help, but you might get some ideas.

Having the same problem with an ASROCK K7VM2, I was getting three beeps on boot so I put new ram in but still no keyboard, I have taken the keyboard back to where I purchased it and it checks out fine. I will post if I ever get it sorted.

Got my ASROCK K7VM2 working found a jumper on the mobo which the manual describes as PS2_USB_PWR1 has 2 options +5V and +5VSB changed from +5V to +5VSB then it booted up and I was able to enter the bios,
