Changing Default Directory?
Is there a way to change what directory is opened by default when I open windows explorer?
I want it to go directly to a network drive.

I haven't been able to figure this out either.
Finally just put a shortcut on my desktop to go where I wanted in explorer.

This
will give you what you want.
I'd also search the Applications/OS Forums as there have been many threads on this. But my linky is real good.

For windows 2000 you can right click on the explorer icon- properties - short cut and put the name of the directory in the target box

I have mine set to "%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e,
C:\
"
The part in bold is what you need to change to tell it where to open up.
