windows xp driver update help

I am trying to install the Catalyst 3.8 drivers for Windows XP, and when I un-install the drivers then re-boot Windows automatically re-installs the old drivers upon the restart.

How do I stop this? It wont let me cancel it or anything, and I cant install the new drivers properly if the old ones haven't been deleted.

Thanks in advance

Send a message via ICQ to Shawn711
When the system reboots, hold down F8 to get advanced boot menu, then boot into VGA mode and install Catalyst drivers from there........
