Best game to buy?

Hello,

I am looking at buying a game this week and I have no idea what to get!! My current games are: Black and White, Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Need for Speed: High Stakes, Half-Life (plus Blue Shift and Counter-Strike and one other I cant remember), Delta Force 2, Age of Empires II, Grand Theft Auto III, Fifa 2002, Warcraft III, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

As you can see, I am desperately in need of a new game as mine are quite old now and getting over-played. My problem is, I keep getting bored of games before I finish them. I need a game that is addictive and changing enough to keep me interested, and has a strong multiplayer component.

I was thinking of these (in order of preference):

1. Battlefield 1942 pack (I think has one expansion in it, the first one)
2. Jedi Academy
3. MOHAA
4. C&C: Generals

Can anyone tell me other games that might be good? Or are any of these games hyped up and not really worth it?

You might want to consider Total Annihilation. It is an RTS classic that never gets old. Ghost Recon is also a very good game. As far as something addictive, take a look at Heroes of Might and Magic 3 (though I never really got into the multiplayer for this game).

I rented Ghost Recon on PS2 once for 3 days, that game was awesome but I completed it in those 3 days...

I think I have seen Total Annihalation being played too, but wasn't it released quite a few years ago? I'm looking either for a newish game or a game recently platinum so its cheaper.

Yes Total Annihilation is a very old game but there is alot of things to do in the game plus its very addictive

I have Battlefield 1942 i found the game very good online anyway but i have got bored of it, but there is alot of mods to download for Battlefield 1942 which keeps you playing the game.

MOHAA was a very good game played it for a very long time could never get me off it still go on it but not as much.

UT2003 is a good game but its very hard to get into but once you have gotten into it then it would be fun, but this games takes a hell of a computer to play it but if you have a descent computer then you should be alright.

I think Worms World Party is a very addictive game can probably get it fot about £5 which is a good buy.

I think thats all it but if i think of some other games i will post them here ok.

Edit: Forgot to mention GTA VC, and MaxPayne are not multiplayer games, just incase you didn't know, but they are good none the less.

if you like GTA3, GTA Vice City will keep you occupied for a long long long time. I consider myself an excellent gamer, I've beaten Quake3 on nightmare, and played through all the first 2 monkey islands so I have reflexes and problem solving skills, and yet even after about 3 months of playing GTA VC I'm 62% done with it. I beat the main plot about 2 months ago (which left me at about 47% I belive), and I've just been having fun figuring new things out, doing extra missions, and blowing stuff up

Jedi Academy is deffinatly a great game! Its graphics are no where near state of the art, its still on the Quake3 engine, but if you liked outcast but found yourself replying missions like bespin, and others with the dark jedi you'll love this game! Its lightsaber dueling is a LOT better, and its missions make you feel like your really a jedi. It really goes back to the roots, and brings story and gameplay back to the #1 spot instead of graphics as so many games now adays do, and it works splendidily!

Other games I'd suggest.

Savage - Mix RTS and FPS together and you have savage. I haven't played it, but I've been told if you can find good player online it can be a great game!

Max Payne 2 - I didn't list this one above because I've heard its very short. I put in my first hour on it yesterday, and can't wait to get back to it today. Its physics and everything are supuerb. Read gamespys review or actually probably any review, its a nice 9/10 game!

Raven Shield - The 3rd installment of the Rainbow 6 series, raven shield fixes everything that was wrong in the previous games! I quit playing CS for this game, its that good! If you have a good connection and a decent PC this game is increadibly addictive!

BTW forgot to mention all those games are awesome! Actually in exactly that order too! For multiplayer that you won't tire of BF1942 has it all! Download the Desert Combat patch when you get tired of the normal game, and you'll be set for a month or two easy!
