record online radio to mp3

i found this really good online radio station (that i play under winamp). of course, its streaming. i was wondering what kinda software (free preferrably) would allow me to record the streaming audio to an mp3 file. i was thinking about plugging the speakers output on my sound card into the microphone input, but thats pretty stupid and will not be very good quality. gimme software!

i use windows 2000

This is the best thing on the market right now:

http://www.xoteck.com/ripcast/

The free version does everything I need it to and does it pretty well.

Ripcast (What scott tiger suggested) is seriously an *awesome* program.

At least give it a try if Streamcast doesn't do exactly what you want.
