Where's my CD-RW????? PLEASE HELP!

Guys, your help would be appreciated.

I'm running AMD Athlon 1.2Gb, 20Gb H/D & 128Mb.

I was previously running Win 98, but recently had to format (God help me) and decided to install Win XP Pro.

Since formating, the sys will not find my burner. The base unit has not been touched and it was working ok before.....

Any suggestions????..........have tried searching for un-installed hardware through Windows, but, it just won't find it. S'got power but f'all else.

I've got installed Easy CD creator 5 basic...

have just downloaded the updates, but still no 'E:\' being found??

have downloaded what I can..it seems I need Platinum version to install>>????
