Rightly or wrongly, some people have been ripping Ad-aware. While I do think it ought to be included, you may also include Spybot Search & Destroy which seems to nab items Ad-aware does not; and along that same avenue, there is SpywareBlaster and SpywareGuard. All of these are freeware with the invitation to donate in support of the author and the software upkeep. The later two act as barriers to the spyware ever getting onto your HDD. They do seem to work as following their installation, Ad-aware and Spybot Search & Destroy have found far less spyware than prior to the Blaster and Guard install - and they are very light on system resource use. You might also want to include Kerio Firewarll and the free Anti-Virus offer of Grisofts AVG.
