For some odd reason, since my recent WinXP crash, everytime I boot into the OS, the system checks my disk for errors, and it finds none (no bad sectors). And this still occurs even after a clean format and install.
Anyone have a clue why it's doing this? or perhaps a way I can stop this from happening every single boot?
On a side note:
This morning, a really weird thing happened to my WinXP, the settings of the OS and some applications went back to deafault...registries not saving? But it seems like some are because my antivirus scanner and software firewall booted up fine...
