How fast is your PC?

Here is mine.


P4 2A oced at 2.4 Ghz {120 FSB X 20} 480 Mhz BUS {120X4}.
768 MB RAM PC 2100 running 320 Mhz (160X2).
MSI 845E Max MOBO, 6XPCI, 6X USB 2.0, 1X AGP4X
80 GB WD 7200 RPM HDD 2 MB Cache
20 GB Maxtor 5400 RPM HDD ? Cache
Liteon 4X4X16 DVD+R/+RW Drive with 40X24X40 CD-R/R-W
Radeon 9000 Pro 128 MB
Sound Blaster Live Platinum 5.1
ATI TV wonder VE.
Netgear FA311 10/100 MB NIC
Logitech Z560 sound
Wireless Logitech Keyboard
Wireless MS Optical Blue mouse.

I put together a little something on my machine a while back that might do the job:

Basic machine was built in March 2002. There wasn't an OEM that would touch it back then.

Mine is the following:

XP1800 Tbred-B o/c'ed to 2.35Ghz (14 x 166)
Asus A7N8X rev 1.06 (flashed to support 200Mhz fsb)
768Mb PC3200 Micron ram
80Gb ATA133 7200rpm Maxtor
Asus Geforce4 Ti4200 agp 8x 128Mb
Philips 48x12x48 cdrw
16x40x Samsung dvd-rom
Onboard sound
Onboard lan

In about a week the Ti4200 will be replaced with an 9800 built by ATI.
Already ordered heatsink +ramsinks to replace the default, as I will be overclocking this baby.

I just added a few things to my machine page and added up the cost so far.

Total cost: $5167.30 Plus

I need my head examined!

Ouch!
PS: I figure I should have gotten married instead. It might have been a cheaper adventure.

I just added my mouse, keyboard & printer to the page as well. Another $304.00 !

Not to mention the computer I built for my hidden entertainment centre in the living room which I had to give away....

It was Christmas time and I was just about broke as we had an early layoff. I just built the machine and I had to get something for my mother.

Well. No money!

So she got the entertainment centre.
