full hardware accelerations make point do strange things

i bought inspiron 5150 with Geforce FX Go5200, and when my GFX card is accelerated to the max, my pointer behaves strange like for example when i focus off the input fields it for a second increases in size and goes off the track and then returns to normal state right away. if i lower the accelerations by 1 step everything is OK!

is that normal? what i want to know does it happen because my card is weak or because it's faulty?

I've never heard of that happening. However, it is possible that you have the "Hide pointer while typing" enabled.

Check out your Control Panel -> Mouse Properties -> [Pointer Options] -> [ ] Hide pointer while typing

Anything like that?

It would be difficult to believe that a faulty gfx card would only show up in mouse pointer problems. If your gfx card was really weak (or faulty), I'd think you would see a lot of other issues, especially if you play games.

one guy told me to disable the pointer shadow and didn't do it anymore, even at the full acceleration, so i guess it's drivers problem
