Norton Ghost

Norton is causing the pc to reboot on the 3rd disk

System consists of;

MB : VIA P4X400
CPU : 2.4 Celeron
HD : 40 Gig H.D Western Dig
3 partitions
1) 20 gig XP with all patches ect.
2) 16.x? Reserved for RedHat 9.0
3) 4.x gig Formated as FAT32 but empty at the moment
512 MEGS mem

Norton System Works 2003 (includes Ghost)

I run Ghost, set the options using FAST so little / no compression and set to C: so as to backup JUST the WinXP partition. XP boots into 'dos' and runs Ghosts. Disk 1 burns, get's ejected and Ghost waits for Disk 2. Disk 2 burns, get's ejected and Ghost waits for Disk 3. Disk 3 inserted, begins to copy and the system reboots several minutes into the burn process. The log states the copy failed. Need help folks

I thought Ghost was supposed to run in Windows?

It starts in windoze, but reboots to DOS to do the actual burning / saving of the image

ghost reboots the computer in order to make the image. What error is it giving and does it give any warnings before as sometimes USB items will cause it to mess up and it will usually warn you before reboot.

If anyone from symantec is listening, stick to virus scanners, your disk tools { explative deleted }

No error no nothing.
10 disks later... (3 the first reboot, 3 the next and now 4 for a "successfull" copy) ... Ghost can't verify the backup! I tell (ask) it to verify and it just freezes.

There's GOTTA be a better way!
