"No supported cd-rw drive detected"?!?
After some OS problems (Windows ME), I decided to reload an image of a fresh OS installation I keep. However, after reloading this new image, my NTI CD-Maker software no longer recognizes the drive (getting the message in the title). In fact, it does not seem to recognize either my CD-RW or DVD drive.
I've tried the following:
=> uninstalling and reinstalling the software, and upgrading to the next version,
=> deleting my CD-RW drive from device manager and it will reinstall the drive on reboot, but the CD-Maker drive still does not work.
I know the drive works because I've used Ghost successfully to create a backup of the restored image and of my hard drive prior to this whole thing.
The details:
Dimension 4100, P3-933
Creative CD-RW RW1210E
NEC DVD
Two hard drives on primary, two ATAPI devices on secondary, with CD-RW as master. This arrangement has worked flawlessly for a couple years.
