This is kinda tough to explain, but when I minimize Battlefield 1942, I cant get it to maximize again. I click it on the start menu, and my monitor goes thru the clicking that it goes thru and the floppy drive even makes a noise but it wont come back up. Its very fickle...sometimes it does maximize but thats rare. I always have to restart the game since it wont go full screen. Any idea what it could be? Thanks in advance.
Have you tried to Alt-TAB back into it? I haven't had problems getting back in using this keystroke.
(How do you get 'out' of BF1942? Alt-tab or somethin else?)
Do you have the latest vid drivers? Have any other big programs that are running when you try to maximize it? Have you tried using the Task Manager to [switch to] the game?
I do use Alt+Tab to get outta the game, but havent tried that to get back into it...I have the latest drivers...what do you mean by "petting" my monitor?
Have you applied the latest BF1942 patch? (I believe it is v1.45 last time I checked.)
Also, do you hear the sound effects while you have the game 'minimized' ? Whenever I minimize BF1942, I can usually hear the gunfire/music/etc.
Thirdly, what resolution/color depth are you playing the game, and what is the resolution/depth of your desktop? Maybe your computer is havin problems going back to the game resolution.
