Windows 2003 Server "Terminal Server License problem"

Installed and activated my 2003 terminal server, using the terminal services manager and in that, install License. Connected to MS website and it gave me a License Server ID, then in the terminal server section it gave me a license key pack ID. It then said that the license was active and setup was complete. This server is from Dell, which is where I got the terminal license from as well. I cannot get anyone from there which seems to know what they are talking about, and MS won't talk to me unless I come up with approximately $240. I tried Technet, as well as their forums. Anyone have a clue on what I need to do next to get my Terminal license to be recognized in my server? On the configure your server page it shows I am using the termporary license. Thanks for the help.

I'd suggest calling Dell. Just push the issue with them until they support it. If you got the OS and the licenses from Dell, they need to support them. Microsoft won't support OEM products.

Is your server listed as active in Terminal Services Licensing in Admin Tools?

Thanks for moving to the right forum,

Yeah it is showing up as active. I have a per seat terminal license showing up, but it is still saying that the license is not on the server. Am I missing a step here?

I'm confused now. Where is it saying the license isn't on the server?

It is saying it on the manage your server screen. Saying "no terminal server license was found on the network. This terminal server will stop issuing temporary licenses to clients 120 days after it receives the first connection.

It sounds like your server is OK but the licences aren't set up for the client machines.
Have you installed the key packs?
Look here for details:

Actually, check this link to make sure you set up the server license correctly - take note of the "Important" warning - it might apply to you

Thanks for that info, I did do that in the past and it said that they are active. Currently I am talking to MS, because Dell has no clue about their own license sheet they gave me. Even though they appear active in the terminal licensing section, it still is showing up on the manage your server page as not being installed. I know I am probably missing some simple step, but it seems like I have done everything I needed to do.
