Is anyone going to upgrade/buy now?

I recently discovered that both Norton series 2004 and Mcafee series of next years are out. I thought it went fast this year, but well no can do. I also discovered that Microsoft released its new Office application 2003 which I think went too fast since XP havent been around that long. I was thinking is anyone going to upgrade or buy these softwares? I am sure there are more newcommers and you can sure state them if you want here

Just thought would be interesting to know what the people think and what they are going to do with these brand new realeases.

I think the new Front Page 2003 looks really promising as well as the whole Office Suite.

Yeah, I agree it looks promising (Office 3003) but man its so expensive! I wont spend that much bucks in an office suite when there are ones thhat work and are free (OpenOffice) agree its not the same but the price is unbeatable. Nortn and Mcafee are okay in price, but always no importnat improvements.

I'm still perfectly happy with Office 2000. I'm with Norton right now but once that's expired in heading to AVG.

i wont buy norotons because you have to register the product and cant install it on more than one computer. so bubye! we had a long run...4 years. but im switching to AVG!

Office 2000 works fine for me too. its not like they changed anything in 3 years. the basic word processor hasnt changed......really ever.

Actually im not buying Norton either because of this. But I am interested in Mcafee's new serie, but the thing im scared of its that it comes with the Security Center (free from their site) and when I tried the free version out it screwed up my XP. Mcafee's latest version has screwed my PC up sometimes without no meaning or reason. Well, I am still interested to see how it performs and how it is.

I would stay away from McAfee. They worship the devil.

I heard that Scott. Same here. I've got Office 2000 and see no reason to upgrade. I've got AVG on my backup system and my son's and it's going on mine as soon as Norton expires.

That's one way of putting it zen. I lost faith in Mcafee about 3 years ago. I caught a virus that Mcafee couldn't find. While I was troubleshooting, the virus even whacked Mcafee. I installed Norton and it found the virus on the first pass.
