nvidia fx5200

the graphics card is causing a lot of errors, especially when trying to copy or paste anything. also when trying to shut down the card causes errors. This is confirmed by using the dr watson program to trouble shoot. have tried using the updated driver from the pny website, but the same thing happens. have even tried wiping the hard drive and starting all over again, with no luck.
somebody help. it's driving me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!

it would help in the troubleshooting process if we knew what system(if you bought as a unit to begine with) and or the motherboard, cpu, memory, version of windows, not to mention the errors you are recieving. .. i.e. where they originate from.
then we could be of better help to you

I run windows millenium edition. 256 mb ram, 600 mhz cpu. the errors just say "This program has caused an error in <unknown> the program will now close. if you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer"

using the dr watson program, i have fouund out that most of the errors originate from the graphics card.

Are you using DirectX 9? You might also try NVIDIA's unified drivers. That's what worked for me, but it's absolutely essential that you have the newest version of DirectX installed. The FX series is specifically made for DirectX 9. Good luck!
