Outlook Express

I am trying to set up outlook express. Is there a website that gives directions? I am having so many problems. My account set up just fine, but I can't get my kids set up. I t keeps asking to sign in, then says the password is wrong. If anyone can help me, I would be very grateful. Lori

I am using windows XP.

Welcome to TechIMO!

To elaborate on woodbutcher's comment... you can not create a working email address/account just by typing one into Outlook Express. Normally the new account will be created by your ISP. After they create the email accounts, then you can use ot that account logon and password into OE just like with your current account.

The quickest way is just to give your Internet service provider a call. Usually when you pay for an internet service they allow you to have several email accounts.

You can probably go onto the ISP's website and find out what the policy is or just give them a phone call. It only takes about 2 minutes to set one up...but as the others say, you cant just make one up in your head, the ISP has to enter the information on their computers first usually.

Some isp's, such as Adelphia broadband, have it on a user configuration page....they help you set up the first email when they come install the cable internet, but then for additional emails you just go to the configuration webpage.

Give your ISP a call and it'll be straight in no time.
