MX700 quite laggy

Hello everyone!!

Just wondering, how many/who has an MX700 mouse here?

I got one with my new MX Duo, I love the keyboard, but the mouse has been somewhat disapointing...

According to Logitech, the MX700 is supposed to perform as good if not better than a corded equalivent, yes, its tracking is abosultely perfect, but It has a considerable problem with lag.

I've done as the instructions suggest, Put the receiver 20cm min from any devices, etc etc. But the mouse has no comparison to a corded, moving my cursor on screen shows visible lagging behind, which would be fairly bad for games such as counter-strike, or any other FPS game that relies on such mouse qualities lol

So, this is probably normal, I dunno, but it is somewhat disapointing, my $14 POS USB Optical mouse has instant updating between mouse movement and cursor, I dont want to have to go back to it

Maybe I'm not used to such lag? lol
Anything I should check? Or any known issues?
Cheers

Argh this is odd then...

Updated drivers, same result... maybe I might have to find someone else with an MX duo and see if it affects them, maybe its just the fact that its a combo, keyboard & mouse on same receiver... or maybe I should suspect somthing is wrong with it...

Ooh well I'll find out soon enough

Possibly, I dont have any similiar rated batteries to test with, besides I cant see how the batteries could affect it too much, all they do is provide a continious stream of power lol.

Otherwise I'll probably just consider the lag "normal" for a cordless device, lol

lol Thx for quick reply too!

Return it and see what's happenen? I called Logitech up for my mouseman dual optical, had some problems with it that couldn't be fixed and sent me a brand new one right away, no questions asked. Ended up being a problem that happened on the second mouse too, now i have two mouseman dual opticals

Personally i love logitech and would love to get the MX900 when i get the money (Better version of the 700)

OMG an MX900?? lol (is that the bluetooth one?)

Problem is I got this set from another country (Singapore), dunno if I could return it to my country (Australia) but once I rip off all the stickers that mention Singapore, its worth a try

hmm, I think I should just borrow someone's MX700 (mouse only, not duo) to check if that has any issues

Edited:
btw I've also tried it on two other computers (PS2 plugs on another PC, USB on laptop) same results.
