Will gForce 5200 do x8

I looked at the gforceFX 5200 specs, says it requires AGP 2.0... great my mobo has AGP 2.0... but my specs also say x2's and x4's for the AGP slot.

there probably was no x8's when I bought my PC, does anybody know (or have a guess) if I should expect the gforceFX 5200 to run at x8's ????

It'll run just great with 4x AGP

I haven't had an ATI product in a long while... then they were a little unstable or maybe I should just say it did weird things, but a lot has changed since then.

the reason it requires agp 2.0 or higher is POWER requirements.
as time passes... video cards get faster, and inheirently consume more power.. hence the mylex connector on most 5200 ultra cards... since the agp bus cannot provide the necessary power.
You 5200fx will run perfectly fine at agp 4x. Youll see vertually no difference at 4x vs 8x unless your running real high resolution games,ect.
