Media Format Fat32 Drive in XP

I have an 80GB WD HDD that I want to format fat32. I want a utility that will work inside windows XP pro and let me partition and format this drive.

Anyone know of a software utility that will allow me to do this?

Thanks TONS

Partition Magic 8 is the best. But that'd be overkill. XP will let you format in FAT32 or NTFS if you boot from the CD.

If you already have XP installed just use XP disk management to do it

Right click My Computer --> 'Manage' --> Disk Management
You should see the drive in there with no partitions.

Right click the space and get to work partitioning

the partition for xp works great... it will not let me format it fat32 though, I am trying to get a program that will allow me to format within windows.

having some difficulty too, I might add...

NTFS is for a good security. FAT32 is format standards. Currently, both of my drives are NTFS format. It's good but there are some time that it isn't

I just checked and you can still do it in Win2k ...

Hmm is this drive by chance already formatted as NTFS?
If thats the case you'd have to delete the partitions and reformat as FAT32...

Shahani, no point in buying if its something simple that can be done in winders.. not everybody can afford to just blow 60 bucks to be used rarely.
