Radeon 9000 vs Fx Go5200

both have 64Megs, but which is better? Go5200 is newer so i suppose it's better?

5200 is offered in Inpiron 5150's
9000 is many other laptops

Both are their series' low end cards. If you're into gaming, the 5200 offers DX9 features, whereas on ATI's side this feature is offered in 9500 and up.

from the way it looks, the FX 5200 would be a better choice than the radeon 9000. while the fx's are crappy when compared to 9500, 9600, and 9800's i think the FX 5200 is the best bet.

are you into gaming? if so, i would suggest getitng something better like a ti4200 or a radeon 9600 non-pro (or a pro if you can afford it)

Both cards are really sucky so it doesn't really matter; the 5200 is a tad faster than the 9000 though. I would personaly take the FX5200 only because I'm very familiar with Nvidia stuff and I have a grudge against ATI (being burned once is too often).

Go with ati if your going to be doing any gaming. Nvidia always finds away to cheat in there benchmarks . Even if the nvidia card scores higher i bet the ati will have smoother game play.
