2-many processors in Device Manager

I'm new to the forum and hope someone can offer some advice. I've recently built a dual Xeon 2.4 GHz server with a SuperMicro MoBo and installed WIN Server 2003. Under the device manager, when I select "Processors" it shows 4 Intel processors instead of 2, anyone else encounter this?

I'm not too familiar with servers, but do those processors support hyperthreading? If so, there's your answer.

My 2.8c P4 800fsb is hyperthreaded and shows up as two processors, which is completely normal.

Hope this helps. -LC

The 2.4GHz Neon does support hyperthreading, so I would assume that is the cause.

Indeed, if HT is enabled then each physical CPU will show up as two logical processors.
