CMOS/GPNV CHECKSUM BAD ERROR

Hi All!

Just recently registered, I hope this is the right forum. Thanks for the help on my grounding issue earlier in the week-problem solved.

Occaisionally, on boot-up I get the error "CMOS/GPNV CHECKSUM BAD ERROR" and my system will not start. I am not sure what the error means and the system seems to run fine otherwise.

Any Ideas??

System specs :

Homebuilt-
P IV 3.0 Canterwood @ 3.12
Intel D875PBZ mobo
1GB Corsair XMS (PC 3200 LL)
ATI RADEON 9800 PRO
160 GB Maxtor HDD
Soundblaster Audigy 2 Soundcard
Samsung DVD/RW Combo

Thanks!

Usually a CMOS checksum error indicates a problem with the BIOS.
