mixing memory brands kingston and ultra

I am running kingston 512mb pc3200 value ram and would like to add a stick of 512mb ultra pc3200. are there any problems with running different brands?
I am doing video editing. Should i experience a big increase in performance by doubling the memory?
tiger direct has the ultra on sale for $80.00 after rebate.

i normally dont like to do it i get parranoid about it. i dont know if anything would mess up though im pretty sure it would be ok

I would think the only thing that would change would be the mem CL and timings. Certainly not a big difference between the 2 unless your into OCing the computer and 'tweaking' the mem.
I usually don't like to mix brands either but I think you have less of a concern being your mobo is a VIA KT400 chipset. If it was a daul channel board, such as a nforce chipset, I would not do it.

I have a Gigabyte GA-7VRXP board (KT333) and it's similar in model to yours... I'm running 768 megs of ram right now with it and with THREE different sticks.
One is Crucial, one is Corsair XMS and the other is Samsung... I haven't had any issues at all.
