new power supply needed too?

i m gonna upgrade rubys pewter with a ECS K7S5A PRO and a amd xp 1700. also using the 320 mb of pc 100 ram. i dont know off hand what power supply is in her machine. right now it has a P2 400 processer in it. i think an asus p1999 mobo. also will be using a gf2 gts vid card.

think a new psu may be needed? i dont have time at the moment to take it apart to see what size is in there,but 200 watt seems to come to mind.

am gonna order parts today.

200 watts will not be enough for your setup.
I would recommend at least a quality PS with 350 watts minimum.
The K7S5A boards are known to be picky about PS's and RAM, speaking of which, the PC 100 ram will not work for that 1700+ cpu.
Your going to have to use pc133 but I would recommend DDR personally.

since i would probably need a new ps,i looked at a new case,different mb,ram,but the same cpu.i dont know if she ll go for the xrta bucks it will cost,but....

i would be able to have another working cow for the ud herd if i did it this way. i could keep the p2 machine intact,i have two hds in it,so one can go into new machine. i also have xtra vid card. all i am missing is a moniter,keyboard and mouse,unless i can use remote software to use it.
