Gaming Windows XP uninstall replace with 2K

Please help,
I can't replace XP which doesn't support lots of my applications and want to replce it with 2K. However when I load the 2K CD the following message comes up - 'THis CD - Rom is from an older version of windows than the one you are presently using. Setup functionality from this disk will be disabled.'
Can anyone tell me how I get round this....In simple terms please I'm not very technical... Thanks

You have to boot from the CD. Enable CD drive as the first boot device in BIOS and boot from the 2K CD.

Simple
You boot from the CD after you reboot the system, that is before you enter Windows since Windows XP which you are using is a newer version. Although you wont have the option of upgrade but you can make a clean install though but you will loose everything. If you need more information or answers just ask
