Where's my darn video?!

I just recently purchased a GeForce 4 MX 440 (PCI) graphics card. After installing the drivers to run the card, I can hear, but can't see any video. However, I am able to play games with little trouble. What do I have to do in order to see the dang video?!

My Computer: Compaq Presario, Celeron 800 MHz, 383 MB RAM, 40 GB HDD, Windows ME OS.

Any suggestions? Thanks!!

Welcome to the forum!

Let me get this straight...you have no video but you are playing games??

Are you talking about some sort of dual monitor setup??

Yeah, I think so. I went to eVGA.com and downloaded them.

John,

I'm not getting any "in-game" video sequences. It's rather annoying.

Old video card was a mother board with allocated ram, I went into bios and disabled the card, and for some reason it still says that it is my primary display adapter.

This is what i would do.

Remove the drivers for the gf4mx, remove the drivers for your onboard video, shutdown. Make sure your monitor is connected to the gf4mx, turn on the PC, go into the bios, make sure onboard video is disabled, make sure you select PCI as the defualt video device in bios (sorry i can't think of the exact name for it in the bios, but you should be able to choose PCI or AGP, choose PCI). Boot into windows, it should detect the gf4mx, install the latest drivers for the card from www.nvidia.com. And see how it goes then...
