getinputdeviceinfow error in user32.dll

hi there
i have a problem with my battlefield game i know this isnt a games forum but i think it could have something to do just with my pc im runing windows 2000 and after i install bf and the updates i try to run it and it comes up with this error message


"The procedure entry point GetRawInputDeviceInfoW could not be located in the dynamic link library USER32.dll."

any ideas i uninstalled it and deleted the directory then reinstalled restarted my comp and it still doesnt work any comments or suggestions will be much appreciated

Hullo, I myself had this problem, after talking to Microsoft we found I had the wrong version of Direct X and reinstalling it resolved the issue. For more information find the case labeled SRZ031030000182 which will further explain this topic. Good luck!
