AMD is just as good as/better than Intel chips. Shouldnt have any problems with it.

may not be very upgradable fi you wanted to upgrade it, although it depends on the system. Looks good to me.

One thing I'd check on, the graphics card. Ensure it isn't a MX card. If you're a gamer, a GF4 MX won't cut it with modern games. A Ti4400 or so would do you. If you're not a big gamer, then don't worry about it.
AMD CPUs are at least as good as Intel. I wouldn't worry about that. Looks like a good system.

Nukes, we already know it's an MX card. Since when has HP ever given GOOD video cards with their computers?

yeah, HP is a very good quality systems, (even though I build my own).
I helped a friend this summer to buy a system, and got her a HPa250n Desktop w/ a 17" Viewsonic DVI Flatscreen. It originally came with a GeForce4MX AGP Video Card, but it didn't include a DVI port, so she got the ATI Radeon 9800 AGP Video Card. It upgraded fine, and the build quality is excellent!
In Summery: If i don't build my systems, I'd get an HP system, they are awesome!

The main issue may be the power supply....if its one of those gay micro atx 150watt deals...expect it to last about a year.

They do make replacements now for those, that go up to like 235 watts or so.

If ANY of us in this or any forum, built an XP machine, we would put at LEAST a 350 watt power supply in it. Hp likes about a 150 watt and Dell a 200 watt, lol. Cutting them corners to save $$.

But to be fair the outputs do run fairly consistantly, and they can have much greater control over what power the machine draws than the average joe building his computer.
