If this problem just started, restart your computer in MS-DOS Mode.
At the prompt, type:
scanreg /restore (There is a space after scanreg)
You will be presented with 4 registry backups visible and 1 not visible but at the bottom if you scroll down further.
Pick a date that is previous to your problems and hit the Restore button.
After it has performed its duties you will be back to a prompt screen. Just hit Crtl + Alt + Delete and you will go back to Windows.
See if that solves the problem.
