XP Pro User Accounts

While looking in "C", Documents and settings, I find three folders which are old user acconts that I don't use anymore. They do NOT show up in the active user accounts folder. I have tried to delete them to gain some space, but when I get to the documents folder I get "access denied" and therefore, the folder will not delete. Can anyone help with some suggestions as to how I can get rid of these accounts? Any help appreciated.

Send a message via ICQ to JohnE.
Try creating a new account with the exact same name as the one you want to delete, then delete the account from Control Panel>User Accounts. Dunno for sure this will work but I seem to recall having to do this once myself.

Didn't work. The only folder inside of the account that I want to delete is the My Documents folder. I can't explore or open the folder, as access is denied. I also ckecked to make sure that I had not encrypted the folder previously. I can't figure this one out.
