print from linux to stand-a-lone print server

Can anyone give step-by-step instructions for printing from linux to a stand-a-lone 3 port print server?

Linux version is Mandrake 9.1. The printer is a HP Laserjet 6L. Don't know the name of the print server but it's a generic, 3 port, multiprotocol, print server compatible with 98, ME, NT, 2K, XP, unix and linux.

I've had it for a couple of years and have only been using it with windows boxes with no problems at all. I haven't seen any kind of directions for printing to it from a linux box though.

I've used linux on and off but not in depth and have only printed using a printer directly connected to the computer. The directions you give will have to be ASAP (as simple as possible) because this is something very new to me.

Thanks in advance for any and all help provided.

-Rico
