Hi

guys whats the deal with the GF4 TI4800SE ? I keep seeing it for lower prices than TI4600, does the "SE" mean its a cut version or something ?
by the way what card is at the top of the GF4 TI line ? (I like the TIs )

The best ge4 is the 4600. The 4800 is based off the ti4200 core. "SE" means special edition.

Yes and no.
The top of the GF 4 4x AGP bus is the 4600.
The top of the GF 4 8x AGP bus is the 4800.
The 4800SE chip is a GF 4 4400 core which is rated for a 8x AGP bus.

Greetings,
The 4800se is a 4400 with 8x AGP. So it is slower than both the 4800 (non se) and the 4600, but quicker than the 4200. The 4800 has the same spec's as the 4600 except that the 4800 can use the 8x AGP (AGPv.3) interface whereas the 4600 can only interface at up to 4x AGP (AGP v.2).
Regards,
Elad.
