Windows XP Pro Help!

I installed Windows XP Pro and set up the admin account, but it didnt ask me for a password! I have no idea what it is and can't get into XP. Anyone got a solution other than formatting?

did you create any other users?

Have you tried nothing? (as in no password)

XP did ask me for an admin password but did not ask for passwords for the other users I created. It was blank by default (GREAT IDEA MS!) for the other users.

if not blank, try administrator as the password.

if anything, reinstall

hrmm, i thought i read the default admin by microsoft is

username: administrator
pw:administrator

if that works, i think u could go in and change the pw or delete the profile or what not..

Yes, you can log in by using the default administrator account. First change the the option for "change the way users log on and off" in User Accounts" and then log off. And then you will get the classic log on interface (Win2k). Just type in "Administrator" and press ENTER... You don't need to type in anything for the password....

Yes it did but you probably just happily clicked on by it...
If the Above info doesnt get you in and you didnt create other users at the time of install you will get the practice of getting to do the install a 2nd time But this time pay a bit more attention and you will have fun with it

I tried a blank password, administrator, and any other password that it might of been, but no luck. Can I fix it without formatting?

If you haven't tried it already, try typing in your user name in the password field.

I don't know if this will help, but it is worth a shot.
