Problem after ATI 3.8cat drivers

I installed the new 3.8 drivers for my 9700 pro, went to fire it up this morning and my screen is at 640x480, i set it, shut down, go to work, come home, fire it up and its back at 640x480, so every time i reboot it keeps going back to that resolution, is there any way to change this so that it does not keep comming back?

Did you uninstall the previous catalyst drivers?

You must do this first before using the newer drivers.
