NVIDIA GeForce 4 MX440 Problem

Hi all, this is my computer specs,

AMD Athlon 1800+
512MB PC2700 DDR RAM
MSI GF4 64MB MX440
Seagate 80GIG HDD 7200 RPM
300W PSU
Epox 8k3a+ Mobo

I know that my gfx card is running well under what it is capable of, I get a score of 4500 in 3D Mark 2001, when my next door neighbour gets 6000 with the same card. Except his is the sparkle brand and mine is MSI. He has a 2000+ surely that wouldnt make the difference. I overclocked my CPU to 2000+ to see if that made a dif and that didn't do a thing either. I have tried so many things now. Antialiasing is off, I have installed about 4 versions of the nvidia detonator drivers and none of them did anything.

The engine clock of the card is: 249.75 mhz
The memory clock of the card is 405.00 mhz

I once overclocked the video card 30 mhz on each of those, and that rose the score to 4900. But I shouldnt have to even overclock it to get in the 6000's.

I don't really care about the 3D Mark, I just know that because of this I am underperforming in games and having to turn my graphics quality down when I dont really have to.

Please guys, any help that you can give I would really appreciate, this is really starting to get to me.

not really much you can do sadly. the mx is the slowest of the whole Gforce 4 cards

they are not designed to be hardcore gaming cards

Yeah I know that, But i know that I should be getting more out of this card, even though it isnt very good it still has a lot more power than what it is giving out.

You or anyone have any ideas on the types of things that I could try to get the score up?
Maybe there is something else in the computer or windows that is causing this too happen?

I have the 45.23 Detonator Drivers in. The last time that I checked they were the latest drivers out. Is there any other drivers that I should try?
