Networked CD-rom?

I have a DVD-ROM and a CD-RW. My mom's cd-rom failed, so I gave her my dvd-rom. Well, yesterday, my cd-rw died. Just died. I guess it was the end to a great life. *tear* She was a Lite-On 32x/12x/40x. I tried everything to revive it. It simply WON'T read disks.

Anyways.... now that I have to buy a new cd-rw I don't have any way to install games. Our computers are networked, is there anyway to access her computers CD over the network?

thx

Yep, Just share it like a hard drive or folder.

I run a couple of shared CD-ROM's on my home LAN so I can put CD's in in my office machines and the kids can use them in their bedrooms.

Cheers
Mick

Morrowind.

Well, I just shared the CD rom, it installed fine. It ran fine, but it takes a LONG time load, and my mom keeps telling me her cd-rom is spinning up.

So.... I "got" a file off the internet and problems are solved.

COOL ITS MORROWIND AGAIN!!!

thx guys!
