I'm trying to connect to a Unix machine from mine. Does anyone know where I can find one for free?

Thanks

There are commercial packages like hummingbird's exceed package that will allow you to load the entire X environment.

IF you want to run programs you could use X forwarding over Ssh, but im not sure how that would work on a windows box, probably not well at all You would need a unix environment to do that in.

If you want the full X session in windows then I am unaware of any non commercial programs that will do this.

If you have the time and patience, Cygwin/XFree86 can be used to setup a Windows X server, thus allowing you to use it to connect to a remote Unix X server just as you commonly would between any two Unix systems.

Thanks

I have the option of getting a temp license for hummingbird's exceed package through the university at a price but I'm a poor college student

Would this work better on a Linux box? I'm currently dual booting Win XP and RH9.
