Virus | Format Help

Hello, I have am servicing somebody's computer and it is infected with the valla.2048 virus. It won't boot, I can't partition it w/ the DOS PQ Magic, and I can't install any OS cause the virus automatically infects it. I don't know how I am supposed to get rid of this virus to reinstall an os. Do you guy's have any ideas?

Ah...I didn't think that would work but, I'm glad it will. I've had to use that a couple times before when my old hard drive wouldn't format. Thanks.

Aaah... man! I lost two of my hard drives a while ago, not knowing what happened. Now I know it could have been /mbr. Grrr....

Yup...I had to dig out the 98 boot disk. Well, it seems that the idiot that was working on it last week and couldn't fix it didn't have the CPU fan plugged in!!! I'm surprised the thing didn't burn up. I mean it's an Athlon T'bird 1ghz and those run hot. I opened up the case and felt that heatsink. It was like 150F...So it wouldn't have had to fdisk it. The thing was getting too hot to do anything with.
