they had me download new drivers for the audio problem i'm having, (that is the sound is very low, it will adjust, but it's not near what it should be when turned to full)... someone out there has to know how to fix this, something tells me it's something simple.......

Put a sound card in it and disable the onboard...


Oh and before you do that---look in your volume control and make sure the WAVE slider is all the way to the top...

a new clue.... went into nvidea control panel, then multi media control panel, right clicked on my cd player on sound and audio device and hit properties, the volume control that is on that page doesn't work, should it, does that make it a driver problem?

Had a similar issue on a machine a long time ago...in my case, double-clicking on the volume control to get to advance properties, and then adjusting volumes there solved the issue. Turned out that in my case, one of my input/output levels (not to be confused with volume level) was low.

went to volume control advaced but there isn't much there, bass and treble, but i can't adjust them, you mentiuoned something about case input/output, what exactly were youj talking about?

Soundcards can be had dirt cheap (Pricewatch only 1$! + $4.40 shipping= under 6$)
In the mean time borrow one and do some furthur testing---or mail off the bum board...

Turn the knob up on the speakers hehahhaha!!!
----ooops, um---is there supposed to be a power supply attached to the speakers that may have become dislodged or isnt connected?

speakerts turned up hate to buy one, might have to i guess, really hate to send off my board and have to wait for a new one .. no power supply to speakers themselves and none to board for that seperately that i know of, i really don't think the board is faulty because everything else works great, guy from tech support also said mobo might be grounding out, i haven't checked that as i'm fairly certain that it's okay (he said possibly at the posts) anyone ever had that happen to them?
