Put in the Windows XP cd, at the prompt, ignore the first "repair" option, (takes you to dos commands), choose install.

The cd should detect the current copy of Windows on you hard drive, and again ask if you want to format and reinstall, or repair.

Choose repair.

I tried that but there are NO prompts. When I press 'enter' the machine just reboots and I get the same error message.
