Techs! I CHALLENGE YOU!! ASUS A7S266VM Video Problems

I'm Running a 2200 Anthlon XP in a Asus A7S266-VM. OS is WinXP Professional version. The problem is when I load up ANY video in Realplayer, WMP, Quicktime, etc, etc. AND put it into full screen the screen will blank, then pause, then it will (sometimes reverse) shrink back to %200 size, and WILL NOT stretch to full screen. I believe this to be a Video card issue. I'm using the onboard video which is a integrated 4x AGP graphic. It SHOULD work, but something is not right.

I've tried every setting I can think of in the BIOS (with this awful mobo)but I still can't get the thing to work correctly.

Only other device that is hooked up is a SoundBlaster Audigy Platinum card.

So....what do you guys think?

Make sure your overlay controlls are set to defaults or normal values. Also, if your video is overclocked with coolbits or whatever, set those back to default. That's about all I can think of right now.

Ya so I'm an idiot...

I forgot to install the drivers for the video card. Minor step huh?

Remember to actually use that little disk that comes with the Mobo...

If you've got a 'third party' video application installed, divx apps come to mind, they sometimes change all settings on your regular players when they were installed. I would classify some of the install programs for third party players as 'near virus'. The only solution I found was a reinstall of Windows for the problems they caused me, when I naively installed them. To make a long story short, the problems your describing are similar to what I experienced. I would suggest, off hand, you have software problems - not hardware problems as you believe.
