Simple WYSIWYG based program would probably be Frontpage if I'm not mistaken...

FrontPage is easy, but isn't lacking in details and functions. There's also a lot of "stuff" out there for it. I wouldn't bother with any version lower than FrontPage 2000. Gets complicated on the older versions.

Ditto on the FrontPage vote...been using it for a short while now, so easy...the "true" programmers will laugh because it is a WYSIWYG program as NDC mentioned, they say the code is bloated and there's way too much of it.
[shrugs]

Takes WAY less time though!

Here's a great site to get started with!

There are other options, however they cost money. Such as Macromedia Dreamweaver and Adobe GoLive!
I personally use Dreamweaver, however, I got a good student discount on it.

Well if you want the best I'd say Dreamweaver, however its not full of premade templates and such. I think you'd have better luck with FrontPage if you wanted something simple. Dreamweaver has more power, but the learning curve Id say is slightly higher.

Personally, I like Adobe GoLive. It intergrates very nicely with other Adobe software. But for the most part, I like it because I'm used to it... hehe
