Stripe size?

Hi,

I am going to be swapping over to my new 4 port raid setup this weekend, as of the moment I am using a 3ware escalade 7000-2, im going to upgrade to another two drives and an escalade 4 port controller, my current stripe size is 64K on the two port controller, should I change this with the 4 port controller? can anyone give me some pro's and con's to different stripe sizes?

The drives I am using are four Western Digital Caviar drives, 120G, 8mb cache.

Thanks
Storm

From my FastTrak user manual:

"In general, a larger block size is better when handling large data transfer (such as in A/V editing or graphics) while smaller block is better when handling e-mail and other common server data. The defualt is 64k."

So it just boils down to the size of the files you deal with most often..
