Talk I got my PM 4.1's

well they came today, upgrading from PM 2.1's which i gave to my mom. The documentation that came with it was unreadable, horrible copying job. My question is, does it matter which speaker i plug in the back as left back, left front, right front, right back. When listening to music, 2 speakers are much softer than the other 2, is this normal? These are magnetically shielded, correct? I had to end up sitting a speaker next to one of my monitors since i ran out of places to put

thx.

shaw.

BTW, that is some serious thumping from the sub

Congrats, awesome speakers!

I have my "control" speaker as one of my front two channels...of course its partner is my other front channel. The other two are used as my rear surround sound speakers. Sub right under my desk in the middle.

Where do you have your control pod?

Try messing with the Fader. I have some Logitech z-640's and on the center speaker there is a fader nob and it makes the back speakers louder or softer

ok, i have pod and other speaker (using the wire that is glued together to make one wire but is actually two) and these are setup up as front. Then i have other 2 speakers, one to each side set up as back. subwoofer is on the floor, but the blowhole is not pointed toward me, its pointed toward another piece of furniture, but that doesnt really affect anything i can feel it.

speakers set up as back seem to be louder, is that normal?

sounds pretty good.....but i cant really tell the difference from 2.1's but i guess as i give it time i will notice the difference more.

BTW, thx for the link scott, that is what they sent me on a piece of paper but it looks like it was used as toilet paper and the words were ass smeared.

oh, what do you have the surround nob set as martoch? in the middle, or max? or where?

EDIT: and are the sattelites magnetic shielded so that it is alright to put next to monitor?

All 3 knobs set to about 1/3...you'll NEVER hit max!

EDIT: added K to nob...WTF is a nob?

wow, that sounds a lot better. I had the surround nob set on maximum, it sounded really hollow. now that it is at 1/3, sounds great! thx for the help all.

OMG Maximum???
Glad 1/3 did the trick for ya...I use Windows volume control most of the time, unless I'm jammin' out...then I crank the knobs up a bit more.

Enjoy those speakers, they kick ass!
