Need a logo??? Then include these in your thread –
Need a logo??? Then include these in your thread –
1) what is the EXACT NAME of the logo needed
2) what colors do you want to use
3) what size is needed
4) are you offering any form of compensation, ie. money, free membership to a gym, credit on site where to logo is going to be used - remember - there is no "simple" logo(s) - otherwise, you would do it yourself... And most importantly, please check back OFTEN to update people’s questions and let those who have designed something know if you like what they have designed or prefer something changed. Too often does someone ask for help and after 10 or so designs, the person who asked for the logo never replies again...
Good luck…

p.s. mods, if you find this helpful, please use it as a sticky

Agreed. Sticky. *
* - ( Pending Scott's approval. After all this is TechIMO, not a logo business venture...which, so far, is returning to Scott exactly 0% of the action. I'd completely understand if he nix'ed this idea.)
-----------------------------
But if it does fly:
I would add, - Specify if you want vector or raster images (if you don't know the difference, then do not worry about it.)
- Tell us what you intend to do with the logo. Reason for this is because the intended use of the image will greatly affect the creative scope of what we create. For example, an image that will only be used on a web page could be almost anything you want it to be. However a logo that is going to be used for business cards, stationary, t-shirts, etc. will be much more limited (and thus required greater design abilities from the artist).
Format shouldn't be a huge concern. It can be specified anytime during the process, that's no biggie. The artist should have the original document in the native format of whichever graphics application was used (.psd, .ai, etc.) and any format desired can be produced from that original at any time.
Lastly, if you are seeking a custom made logo/artwork/etc. but you are not willing or not able to pay anything for it, please at least tell us why you think you deserve our time, efforts, and talents at no cost. (Note: "just because so'n'so got something for free" is not an acceptable answer.) If you're a non-profit organization, charity, open source programmer, etc. then let us know. That doesn't guarantee you'll get anything for free, but it will be taken into consideration. And for those of you that simply want the work done at no-cost, personally I'd suggest you start saving your pennies, but if you wish you could always just ask…you might get lucky. Just don't expect anything.

* I agree with the sticky idea, as a person who has no graphics knowledge, but will come here to post offers often. Also would be a nice idea to have the "Business standard costs as well".
I someone needs a flash design, how much would it cost them on average elsewhere? what about logos? That type of thing.
I had no idea what they ran when I first arrived at this site, it took a while to figure it out, and I'm still not sure on some of the items. This would help prevent someone from offering 20$ for a 10 hour job.

OMG... This logo thing is really getting serious over here in this PC Tech forum... If this does take off as a legit business in this site, who is going to report taxes? Scott?
