OS in a SATA HD???
Yeah i have my new Seagate 80gb Serial ATA HD but i dont know how to install WIN XP on it
my HD is detected and all that stuff but the setup of win XP said there is no HD
can someone help me here ?

What kind of motherboard do you have?
Does it support SATA?
Have you installed the SATA drivers?

I got an ABIT NF7-S
thanx guys for your help but i figure it out
and now I'm running WIN XP PRO with one HDD 80gb seagate barracude SATA 150 8mb, and it works perfectly

Install the SATA drivers during the XP install.

yeah, when you boot from the win xp cd, hit like F2 to install third party RAID drivers. then it loads everything, it will ask you to put in the sata manufacture's disk. i have sata and i have to do that to work..

yeah that was exatly what i did
by the win XP setup hit F6 to install 3rd party or raid and the put the Floppy with raid driver then the setup detect your hd
